Let us continue about the lesson of the Concept of Supply and Demand.

In the previous lesson, we found out and determine that the demand for “clothes” is 3,122,904. We don’t have to forget the Supply. How about it?

The supply simply depends on the number of websites that is mainly related to the word “clothes”. Now let us go to google.com

I typed the word “clothes” and the results came in to 78,600,000 links in Google. That simply means that the supply in he word “clothes is 78,650,000.

What we do next is to open a spreadsheet and create four types of column. The first column should be categorized as “keyword”, “demand” on the second column, “supply” on the third column and the last column will be categorized as “demand/supply ratio”.

Just to remind you again, this not just a simple article, read-and-do-nothing lesson; but this is a read-understand-and-do-it lesson. Let’s continue.

Now if you and your spreadsheet is ready, you can find out about other subjects in your list. Try to analyze each subject and get the results of the demand/supply ratio. If the supply is too big, it simply means hat you have a lot of competitors in the field. If the demand is big, then that means that the need for that subject is highly regarded.

The Law of Supply and Demand states that the greater the supply the lower the demand, the lesser the supply the greater the demand. It’s a know fact as far as business world is concerned.

What we should see is a proper keyword with acceptable and great demand and not too many competitors. The way to arrive with proper keyword is to lay with a lot of phrases. Don’t be too general. If you try to put a general word in the search engine then I am telling you, the supply will be too crowded. And yet do not be too specific, because the demand will be poor.

Going back to our example, with the word “clothes” although the demand is fair, you will also noticed that the supply is enormous. But when I typed the keyword “clothes” in Overture, the results also displayed other related keywords. I saw some keywords coming out s Men’s clothes has 1,446,789, and for demand (basically not good as “clothes”) but if you try to look for it in Google, the supply comes out to be 800,992. This is way better than the word “clothes” because it’s too general.

You can do what I’m doing right now, but don’t forget to analyze the demand/supply ratio of the others. Don’t jump too well on the results. There would still be a lot of determinations if your subject is profitable or not.

After we tackle “comparing the supply with the demand”, you have to hold your horses first, we still have to study few chapters.
